A lilliputian incident happened final calendar week and boy, am I grateful y'all weren't here to view information technology.
I'd spied the nearly-emptiness of my sugar jar and then I kneeled before our closet with my vintage canisters, opened the sugar one and uh-oh. But three tablespoon'due south worth remained. Then I peered through the canned green beans, cat nutrient and crackers to where I shop sugar bags and oh my goodness!
Not a bag of granulated sugar anywhere. But plenty of brown saccharide, oh, and Stevia, likewise.
"No, no, no, no!" I whispered. "This can't be. How the heck did that even happen? I'm a prepper for goodness' sake! This is humiliating. Seriously. What kind of a prepper runs out of white sugar?"
"A bad ane," I mused. And s itting there on the kitchen floor I hung my head. シ
Then I idea, "Hey. If you lot were visiting a friend and she'd failed sugar-wise would yous have been that disquisitional of her?" Answering my ain question, I replied, "Of course not. I'd but encourage her to add together it to a grocery listing and motion on, making substitutions meanwhile."
So that's what I did. Forgave myself (as often I must in my 60's). Added sugar to my Aldi'due south list then checked my stock-upwardly list for other possible gaffe'southward. Made changes. Moved on.
I mentioned that episode because of the upcoming trucker liberty convoy. Now, I'm all for it (every bit I was the Canadian i), though this might exist something to consider:

Equally always, you lot're gratuitous to practise--or not do--something near this. But as for me and my house we're today thankful for our stocked cupboards, fridge and freezer. And of course, this latest convoy is not the only reason I'm a prepper! No, I've chosen a prepared lifestyle, for consistently information technology rewards me.
Growing older? A nuisance at times, ok, yet gaining feel and wisdom, now, that's remarkable.
These days no 1 can tell me prepping is stupid. Well, they can try, but I'd just smile rather sadly, for these past 2 covid years, particularly, prepping fabricated my life calmer, sweeter and swept away stress similar crumbs from a kitchen flooring.
Colour me deeply grateful! And hey, no longer even caring what anyone might say about my stocking-up habit.

Oh, and Anne mentioned that we may desire to make full our tanks with gas, as well. Practiced advice! And if you rut with/use propane, you lot may want to fill those tanks, also.
